Times Are Changing

Today was the first day where I actually felt like it was the beginning of the change from cold to well, freezing. Even though my hands, ears and face were numb and red, it was a beautiful day in Central Park. I wore a casual outfit, mixing some menswear and street style pieces. I had on a black wool overcoat from ASOS, a off white sweater from Zara, and black Balenciaga Arenas.

Also, I wanted to talk about wool for a second since I've been getting questions on winter clothing. “Wool's scaling and crimp make it easier to spin the fleece by helping the individual fibers attach to each other, so they stay together. Because of the crimp, wool fabrics have greater bulk than other textiles, and they hold air, which causes the fabric to retain heat.” According to Wikipedia. There’s only so many layers you can put on to retain body heat, so basically, wool is going to be a vital part in keeping you warm this winter. Definitely something to invest in!
