Black & Blue

I couldn’t resist copping another pair of the Pharrell x Adidas Superstars.

I love this shoe. The multiple color ways, promoting equality, price point and the “finding your color” statement. It’s something different for once, usually it is one or two color ways per shoe and that’s it. It gives you a chance to be creative, be different and pick up something you would normally never wear. So for my second pair, I picked up a bright royal blue.

Of course the shoes needed to be the focal point for this outfit, its only right. I went for something simple, wearing a clean white tee from ASOS and black Saint Laurent denim. I cuffed the denim for a springtime look and show off the shoe. Then I added my two favorite silver chains to add some details.

What do you think of Pharrell’s collection with Adidas? If so, what’s your favorite color?

Not Another Black Suit...

If you have a limited number of suits like me, wearing the same suit over and over again gets boring very quickly.

It was a process finding a suit to wear to the wedding I’m attending. Even though the black suit is a staple in any wardrobe, I wanted to switch it up from the norm. I found this black velvet blazer from Ralph Lauren and it is the perfect piece to set you apart from the rest of the black suit crowd. Maybe its just me, but an all velvet suit is tacky, so I broke up the suit by wearing black tapered pants from Topman, a regular white button down from Calvin Klein and ditched the tie. Since it is spring, I wore black velvet slippers from Del Toro to compliment the blazer. The pants were tailored perfectly to fall correctly on the slippers and give me a clean look overall.

Below are some alternatives to the blazer and slipper. What do you guys think of a velvet blazer? Would you rock it?

70's.

After a long week of cloudy, rainy and freezing weather… an all black outfit is justified.

This isn’t just any black outfit you would expect from me, I styled it in a 70’s rocker way (Hedi Slimane influence is real). I wore a black button down, half opened, tucked into black jeans with black leather boots. Then I added some silver accessories (two silver chains, silver watch) and layered the outfit with a black overcoat to tie it together.

If you want to get a similar 70’s rocker look, wear skinny jeans, suede/leather boots, silk shirts, leather biker or trucker jackets and a big leather belt with silvery jewelry.

View some examples here.

What do you guys think of this look? Let me know in the comments below!

Spring Vibes

Happy Easter Everyone!

I cannot express how happy I am that it is finally starting to be consistently warm. It’s the time where I can just wear a hoodie or t-shirt and be comfortable. This is my favorite type of weather, where it is still breezy enough for a light jacket but warm enough to stay outside all day and enjoy the world.

Today, I went for a simple spring/fresh outfit. I wore a plain white tee with my favorite Acne Studios denim. For the shoes, I wore Pharrell x Adidas superstars in the color way hype green. These shoes are my second favorite release of 2015 so far (Yeezy’s being first). The pictures do not do the shoes justice; the color on them is insane. A dope color was the perfect thing to complete my outfit, and also match the Easter theme.

If you can still get your hands on any of the colors, I suggest you do.

Enjoy the weather everyone!
